Suzan, thanks to you,(and maybe Tina?) for turning me on to Anita O’Day. I don’t know if you remember, but you did when I was at the Gender Identity forum writing as Sheila Gilligan(sorry that pissed you off but I had what I still consider very good reasons for doing that). That set she did at the 1958 Newport Jazz Festival is something to behold. It was featured in Jazz on a Summer’s Day, one of the greatest films, ever.
