Yes, the often violent attempts to force gender segregation on people is abhorrent but unfortuntely I must say that the heading to your post could be taken as full of anti-semitic assumption and racist gentile privilege plus xenophobic. Jews can also be US citizens and the US woman they were targetting was actually Jewish herself. I hope you don’t take this personally but even if a person isn’t racist or anti-semitic it is quite common for them to still be conditioned by centuries of the anti-Jewish Christian society in which they are brought up in which persecuted Jews because they saw them as evil and ‘Christkillers’. Unortunately, even if a person doesn’t view themself as an anti-semite and a right-wing, reactionary Christian they can still have internalized such ideas. Sadly, such irrational ideas come out from time to time from some people even unintentionally. Well, nobody’s perfect but let’s not forget that other religions and creeds can be sexist too. Thanks for considering.

Gee Hana, I doubt you read this blog very much or you would have noticed how I attack all religions. Further the religion I most target is Christianity. Mostly though I give a pass to non-fundamentalists, who aren’t sexist, homophobic dickwads. OTOH I am merciless with homophobic misogynistic dickwads.

Do you honestly think (assuming you have read more of my blog than this post) I would have given a pass to say Catholic extremists or Orthodox extremists behaving in the same manner?

FYI I am not a Christian so running your particular guilt trip on me doesn’t phase me. If anyone was responsible for putting the mythical god on a cross it was the Romans. But I don’t believe there was a god man named Jesus. The Bible is just another book of mythology to me, the same for the Koran etc.

So misogyny in the name of an imaginary sky being is extremely offensive to me.

So, does that mean all the Jews protesting the actions of their fundamentalist right wing coreligionists are anti-Semites? Are the Jews who protest the actions of their current government also anti-Semites?

Are you saying there is no way to protest the actions of misogynistic, patriarchal, bigoted, men who hide behind a flawed concept of Judaism without being accused of being anti-Semitic?

    Does that make any sense?
