Tehran, Iran. Farsnews reported that on April 25th, 2010 police found a 24 year old woman dead in her apartment, on Shariati St. After an initial investigation it became apparent the woman was called Mahsa and was a transsexual that had undergone sex-change assignment (his name before sex-change was Masood). Mahsa was strangled, and the police found out that her brothers were perpetrators. In addition the brothers stole money they found on her. The two brothers confessed to the killing of Mahsa, and mentioned the reason as “opposing her immorality”. Their father, who in Iranian Shari’a law is the Vali’ye Dam (Masa’s blood-owner), forgave his two sons for the murder. One brother was sentenced to 8 years in prison, with five years suspended jail time and the other for three with two years suspended jail time. In other words the brothers would only serve three and one year respectively in prison for murder!

This is a painful example of how Iranian law concedes if not indirectly sanctions honour killings in defense of any family “dishonour.” This is further proof that for all of Iran’s trumpeting of their so called “progressive” policies towards sex-change, many of the laws of the Iranian Islamic Republic actively encourages terror, violence and murder. Such policies terrorises LGBT minorities in Iran and incites direct violence that damages families and whole communities. GME calls upon the Iranian Supreme Leader and the judicial system to repeal these laws and decriminalise homosexuality and any discrimination against sexual minorities. In an exclusive interview to GME, Saghi Ghahranman, CEO of the Toronto based Iranian Queer Organization (IRQO) stated that “it is possible to advocate and educate parents to understand and accept their children if the law is not supporting murder, and if it does not force a fabricated morality over loving family bonds.” She added that: “this is why we think it is most crucial for the penal code to change in a way that preserves rather than destroys a loving family.” Saghi believes that such imposed morality is at the core of the legislations that encourages Honour Killings that are becoming common place Iran.

This is what has been worrying me about LGB compaigners in the west constantly screaming LGBT when attacking Iran. I do believe they are playing to the medieval mindset in Iran, that creates a culture that makes honour killing acceptable.

This article is strongly implying that this woman was killed simply for being transsexual. That is not likely the case. Western society has self-contradicting transgender expressions such as lesbian community men that are predominately employed in or around lesbian and feminist political activity and gay community women who are almost all employed in and around the sex industry.

Iran won’t tolerate that! If someone gets a sex change in Iran, they are to act strictly like any other person of the sex they changed to or face the consequences that every other person of the sex they changed to would face if they got out of line. In other words, true transsexualism is the only form of transsexualism that is accepted or even tolerated in Iran. Those who aren’t true transeexuals but decide to get a sex change anyway will be forced to end up living like one in Iran.

If a self-deceiving she-male decides to get a sex change in Iran and continue to live like the promiscuous homosexual transvestite that they naturally are, they will be subject to honor killing or even execution from the state. They were expected to act like any other moral and chaste heterosexual woman and they reneged.

That doesn’t justify murder but it does make this killing a non-transphobic one, albeit one motivated by misogynist intent rather than a transphobic one!

    • Suzan Says:

Warning name calling i.e. “self-deceiving she-male” is not permitted on this blog.

Look as far as I am concerned it was an Honor killing and one of the reasons why I think Islamo-fascism sucks.

Which is about the same way I feel about Christo-fascism. But then I do not believe in god(s) so all religion is absurdly insane to me including the New Age crap about auras and the like.

I think so called Honour killing is a problem for many people, they don’t have to be t* or lgb, perhaps it helps, but the post below, and occassional incidents in the Uk show it really isn’t necessary.

And however annoying someone may be, they certainly don’t deserve to be killed for it. Accepting annoyance is part of growing up.

“Help us fight the forced removal of Manchester-based writer Sayed Sadat to Afghanistan, where his fiance and many members of his family were murdered. Sayed was detained last weekend and is due to be deported to Afghanistan this coming Wednesday 22nd September on an Afghan Airlines charter flight.

His life is in danger if he is forced to return to Afghanistan, and it is likely that he would take his own life rather than wait to be killed.

Sayed fled Afghanistan in 2006, when he was 16 years old. His life was threatened by a former Mujahedeen commander when it was discovered he was secretly meeting with the commander’s daughter. They had planned on marrying. The commander killed his daughter, and since Sayed left Afghanistan most of his family have also been killed as revenge for protecting him.

He first went to his uncle’s home in Pakistan, then when men were sent to Pakistan to kill him, he was forced to flee. Despite evidence including newspaper reports on the murders, the Home Office have decided that it is safe for Sayed to return to Afghanistan.

He has not been given the chance to launch an appeal against the decision as he was taken into custody at a routine appointment last weekend.

Please help us to stop this imminent deportation so that a proper appeal can be launched.

I don’t disagree that honor killings are something that should be tolerated or bans on homosexuality. These countries are quite awful and need to be reformed by international intervention if necessary.

The point I was trying to make was that this crime probably wasn’t motivated by transphobia as this article is strongly implying but by misogyny. This is similar to the false allegations that homosexuals are a victim of a sexual cleansing genocide campaign in Iran. Common citizens not connected to or even loyal to the government there have posted that this is not true. What Iran does is kill rapists and pedophiles / hebophiles. Statutory rape is a capital offense in Iran and gay men love cruising for teenage boys the world over. That gets them killed in the thousands in Iran!

Notice how there isn’t any allegations of lesbians being executed in the thousands by the Iranian government? Just a little food for thought!

Embracing everyone’s transgender self-identity as valid is quite dangerous. The Mujahedeen like many other warlords in the area engage in ‘bache bazi’—literally ‘boy play’. This is when a boy is coerced into dressing and acting like a girl yet referred to as a boy for the sexual gratification and ego trip of warlords. The warlord keeps them captive until they are too old to be attractive to them anymore. These boys are no more transgender than a boy raped by an adult male is a homosexual.

Thailand and other East Asian countries are in such dire poverty that a much higher percentage of boys live in some transgender expression than western countries. Economic coercion into the sex industry is also not a valid transgender identity. The west including other transgender people still somewhat reveres Thailand as a transgender Mecca despite the fact that most ‘transgenders’ there have an economically coerced identity.

Iran which this article is about bans homosexuality yet accepts transsexualism. This fuels homosexual transvestite and even gender non-conforming homosexuals into the self-deceit that they are transsexuals. Iran has seven times the number of sex changes per capita than most countries as a consequence.

Western countries have a problem with narcissism and histrionic-ness that is caused by the consequences of laissez-faire capitalism. The Untied States has the most biological fathers and probably mothers getting sex changes per capita than any other country due to the self-deceiving narcissistic egos and selfishness that a corporate-dictatorship that sees a sex change as nothing more than a consumer service and elective privilege produces! Histrionic behavior is also fueled by the lack of attention from others in a selfish society. Histrionic behavior and narcissism is what is fueling the entire queer community based transgender community while narcissism is exclusively fueling it among heterosexual males!

Many people reading this will be quite offended by the last paragraph yet fail to realize that it is their own behavior that is arrogant and obnoxious. The west loves to condemn abuse and exploitation in other countries but refuses to recognize it in their own. That is why many readers will fail to grasp let alone accept what I said.

    • Suzan Says:

Many people are offended by bigotry like yours too. But suggesting you be murdered because you are offensive and sound like you got your ideas from the “fetishistic cross dressers of Tri-Ess” is of the same sort of insane and inhuman rationale you are engaging in.

“Playing into the medieval mindset” — WTF????

There are over 5000 “honor killings” of women and children every year according to the U.N.

Now, here’s a little news article from, Voice of America News.com dated May 21, 2009:

    Istanbul 21 May 2009

Number of Honor Killings in Europe Higher Than Thought

A report compiled by the Council of Europe warns that the killings of women by family members to protect their so-called honor is far more extensive in Europe than previously believed. The report was published by the council’s gender equality committee at a meeting in Istanbul.

The draft report calls for immediate action to deal with what it describes as the growing problem of honor killings. British member of parliament John Austin, prepared the report.

“Here in Turkey the figures for 2007 show that over 200 women were killed here in the name of family or community honor, and that is frankly unacceptable in a modern Europe,” Austin said. “And it’s just the tip of the iceberg: In the United Kingdom; in Germany; in Belgium; in France; in Norway, there is evidence of honor crimes and honor killings.”

The report says one of the key steps in combating violence against women is legislation. Jose Mendes Bota is the chair of Portugal’s parliamentary committee on violence against women.

“We need that a common standard should be established, a minimum standard, its not acceptable they are member states of the Council of Europe that still do not consider domestic violence or violence against women as a specific crime that should be condemned,” Bota. “We have been doing that in Portugal , we made quite a few (eds: bit of) progress.”

The Portuguese parliament is currently considering introducing sweeping reforms to crack down on violence against women. Turkey which is hosting the two-day Council of Europe meeting, and which hopes to join the European Union, many times has been criticized over its treatment of women.

That’s Turkey’s former Minister of Women’s Affairs and current Minister of Education Nimet Cubukcu, addressing the conference. She explains the steps her government has taken to introduce harsher penalties for honor crimes. She says, in the past, when a murder was committed in the name of honor, this was considered a mitigating factor in sentencing. But today honor crimes receive a stiffer penalty than other cases of murder.

Such steps are seen by the Council of Europe members as an important step forward. But Ingrida Circene, vice chairperson of the Committee of Equal Opportunities for Women and Men, says legislation is only the first step.

“We have to work with authorities and with NGO’s because they are more close with these people and then we have to make possible for victims, for these women to go to shelters,” Circene said. “And so we have to organize from our side. We have to make budget resources.”

The meeting outlined seven measures that should be taken to combat honor crimes and other forms of violence against women. They include education and providing shelters for women. Observers say that will be welcome news for women’s rights campaigners in Turkey, who criticized the government for failing to increase the number of shelters for abused women. For a population of over 70 million there are only 52 shelters”

I guess “honor killings” are a problem all over the world (even in the USA, I’d bet). I don’t think all of them can be caused by LGBT activism.

  6. polargirl360 Says:

I’m not suggesting that they be murdered or even oppressed. I’m mearly explaining the way Iranians think in contrast to westerners. I’m not agreeing with it. It’s you that is being offensive and bigoted by labeling everyone else that doesn’t share your paradigm about transsexualism as offensive bigots!

BTW…I am a heterosexually oriented transsexual woman so the autogynephiliac label you are attempting to put on me by expressing that I get my ideas from Tri-Ess is inapplicable towards me. It is you projecting your heterosexual cross dressing narcassistic self on to my pyschosexually heterosexual female self!

  7. tinagrrl Says:

HUH?? That doesn’t even deserve a WTF??

“It is you projecting your heterosexual cross dressing narcassistic self on to my pyschosexually heterosexual female self!” — “heterosexual cross-dressing narcissistic self”?? Have you any idea what you are talking about? Is their a trace of sanity left? Who do you think Suzan is? Do you actually think she was a “crossdresser” before beginning transition?
    Bwahahahahaha!!!!

At least have some sense of who you are talking to.

as far as your self-descriptive ” pyschosexually heterosexual female self!” . WTF does that really mean — other than, “I’m better than you, SO THERE!”.

Did you have some help stringing words together into meaningless jargon? Is it a case of post-modernism and drugs — or just too much Judith Butler.

You seem to support the CONCEPT of “honor killing” simply because that’s the way things were /are done in some “non-western” cultures. Not that long ago, similar stuff was being done by “westerners” in supposed “western cultures”. In many cases people had to be forcibly “convinced” that such actions are not “in their best interests”.

In addition, YOU decided that the murdered woman was a “shemale”, that she “dishonored” her family.

YOU act as if YOU are the judge. YOU act as if only YOU can “understand” the “real reasons” for this brutal murder.

In addition you wrote: “Western countries have a problem with narcissism and histrionic-ness that is caused by the consequences of laissez-faire capitalism. Histrionic behavior and narcissism is what is fueling the entire queer community based transgender community while narcissism is exclusively fueling it among heterosexual males!”

Actually, what are you really saying? — other than conflating issues that really do not connect.

Does the number of folks that transition AFTER children are grown, AFTER parental responsibilities are fulfilled bother you?

Does this delay to fulfill responsibilities seem “narcissistic” to you —– or, are you just a stone bigot spewing crap?

    I vote for bigot.

    Goodbye!
