Too many in the mainstream media and all too often the less main stream have bought in to the right wing religious fanatics meme of “gay marriage”.
Marriage rights for same sex couples are not “gay marriage”. They are equal marriage rights for same sex couples.
That same equality that is supposed to separate us from the theocracies in the Middle East and from totalitarian nations or monarchies.
The Christo-fascists have right wing think tanks telling them what inflammatory language to use. They have used this name calling for over 70 years now. It is scapegoating and un-American although they claim the meme of patriotism as well.
Notice they never use the less inflammatory “lesbian marriage”.
